The tools never really fit.
Most software used by animal behavior and training professionals wasn’t actually made for them. It was repackaged from other industries (gyms, salons, and service apps) with new labels slapped on top. It looked like a solution, but underneath it all, it was never designed for how this industry truly works. The result: frustrated professionals, fragmented data, and endless workarounds.
Built because nothing else worked.
Fetch started with a simple observation from within the industry itself: professionals needed software that actually understood their workflow – from consults and behavior cases to follow-ups and training plans. Nick and Sara wanted to create something entirely new. The goal wasn’t to build another scheduling app – it was to build an ecosystem that speaks the language of animal professionals.

Fetch was designed from the ground up, not adapted from other software. Each feature, whether it’s scheduling, invoicing, client communication, progress tracking, etc. – was built with direct input from professionals in the field. We tested, refined, and reimagined what business management could look like when it’s designed for the people who use it every day.

Sara Ondrako, CDBC, SDC
Founder
Sara Ondrako is a Certified Dog Behavior Consultant (CDBC), educator, and advocate known for her clear, compassionate approach to understanding dogs and the humans who care for them. With over two decades of experience working with families, rescues, and organizations worldwide, she has become one of the most respected voices in modern canine behavior and welfare.
Before co-founding Fetch, Sara founded the American Pit Bull Foundation and Whole Dog Behavior and Wellness, two initiatives dedicated to advancing education, ethics, and evidence-based practice in the animal behavior industry. Her work bridges the gap between science and real-world application – helping professionals and pet owners alike translate research into meaningful results.
Sara has served as a consultant for national organizations, veterinary teams, and media outlets, often called upon to speak on canine behavior, communication, and best practices for humane training. Through her educational content and workshops, she’s reached millions of viewers and inspired a new generation of trainers to approach behavior work with empathy and professionalism.
Sara brings the practitioner’s perspective – ensuring that every feature, workflow, and client interaction tool reflects the realities of working in this field. Her mission is to give behavior professionals the support and systems they deserve so they can focus on what matters most: helping animals live better lives.
Nick Ondrako
Founder
Nick Ondrako is a designer, developer, and entrepreneur with a passion for building technology that solves real problems for real people. With more than 15 years of experience spanning digital design, software development, and business strategy, Nick has helped startups, small businesses, and established brands turn complex ideas into intuitive, human-centered products.
In his earlier work as co-founder of AO Studios, a creative agency, combined design and engineering to deliver web, app, and brand experiences for clients across industries. That hands-on experience – from creative direction to code architecture – shaped his belief that great software begins with empathy and ends with simplicity.
Driven by frustration with the lack of purpose-built tools for animal professionals, Nick began developing what would become Fetch – a platform designed from the ground up for trainers and behavior consultants. His focus on thoughtful design, efficient systems, and clean architecture guides every part of the platform’s development, ensuring it feels less like software and more like a natural extension of how professionals already work.
At Fetch, Nick leads design and product development, shaping a vision where technology disappears into the background so professionals can focus on what matters most: their clients, their animals, and their impact.
