Connect Mailchimp

In this article

Learn how to send Fetch contacts to Mailchimp. This article covers connecting with your Mailchimp login, loading your audiences, sending a contact to an audience from their profile or a form review, what is synced including tags, and disconnecting.

Mailchimp is where many businesses run their newsletters. Connect it and you can send any Fetch contact to one of your audiences in two clicks. Fetch keeps their details and their Fetch tags in step from then on.

Only an Owner or Admin sees Integrations.

Connect

  • Click your avatar, choose Settings, then Integrations.
  • On the Mailchimp card, click Connect. Mailchimp opens in a new tab.
  • Log in to Mailchimp if asked, read what Fetch is asking for, and click Allow.
  • You land back in Fetch on a page that says Connected to Mailchimp, and a moment later you are back on Integrations.
  • Click the refresh icon on the card, Resync Mailchimp, to load your audiences. They do not load on their own the first time.

The card shows a green check and your Mailchimp email, and the Audiences panel lists your audiences.

Send a contact to an audience

Nothing is sent on its own. You choose who goes:

  • Open the contact, click ⋮ next to their name and choose Mailchimp.
  • Choose an audience under Select An Audience and click Send To Mailchimp.

The dialog then shows Contact Added. The contact needs an email address first.

You can also send a brand new contact while reviewing their form submission: tick Send To Mailchimp and choose the audience before you save.

What is synced

First name, last name, phone, profile photo, and the address when street, city, state and ZIP are all filled in. Also tags: every contact gets a Fetch tag in Mailchimp, plus each tag you have put on them in Fetch. Add or remove a tag in Fetch and Mailchimp follows. Once a contact has been sent, later changes to these fields are sent again on their own.

Disconnect

Open the Disconnect Mailchimp panel on the card and confirm. Fetch stops sending. Your audiences and contacts in Mailchimp stay. To remove Fetch from Mailchimp’s side too, open Mailchimp, Integrations, Manage, and disconnect it there. Only the Owner can disconnect.

FAQs

Check that you logged in to the right Mailchimp account and that nothing in your browser blocks pop-ups or redirects. Then click Connect again.

Click Resync Mailchimp on the card. Audiences only load when you resync, including right after connecting.

No. You send each one, from their profile or while reviewing their submission.

Yes. Every tag on the contact in Fetch is sent as a tag in Mailchimp, and kept in step. Tag clients in Fetch and segment on those tags in Mailchimp.
