Sync your Google Calendar

In this article

We’ll walk through how to connect your Google Calendar, assign default calendars for different event types, configure scheduler availability, and manage multiple calendars within your Fetch account. Once connected you’ll be able to automatically sync appointments, prevent double-booking, and keep your schedule organized across both platforms

Connecting your Google Calendar to Fetch allows you to automatically sync appointments, prevent double-booking, and manage your schedule more efficiently.

Once connected, Fetch can both create events on your calendar and check your availability when clients book with you.

Connect Your Go

Connect Google Calendar

To connect your Google Calendar account:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Select Profile & Team and select your profile
  3. Click Integrations
  4. Under Google Calendar, click Sign in with Google
  5. Choose the Google account you would like to use.
  6. Review Google’s permissions and click Allow.
  7. You must check the box that grants permission for Fetch to access your calendar

Grant Permission

You must check the box in the Google popup to allow Fetch permission to your calendar. If you do not grant permission (by not checking the box), your calendar will not be connected.

Set Your Default Calendars

After connecting, you’ll choose where different types of events should be added by default.

In the Default Event Type Calendar section, you can assign a calendar for:

  • Single Sessions
  • Group Events
  • Group Bundles
  • Rolling Enrollment
  • Online Scheduler

For each event type:

  1. Click the dropdown next to the event type
  2. Select the calendar you’d like those events to be added to
  3. Click “Update Default Calendars” to save

This ensures that each type of appointment is automatically organized in the correct calendar.

Set Availability for Online Scheduling

In the Online Scheduler Calendar Availability section:

  1. Select which calendar(s) Fetch should check for conflicts
  2. Click “Update Scheduler Availability”

Any events on the selected calendar(s) will block off time slots, preventing double-booking.

Using Multiple Calendars

Fetch supports multiple calendars under one Google account:

  • If your Google account has multiple calendars (e.g., personal, shared family, etc), you can select from all of them in the dropdown menus
  • You can assign different calendars for different event types
  • You can choose which calendars block availability for your online scheduler

If your Google account only has a single calendar (primary calendar, Fetch will default to that calendar automatically.

Helpful Notes

  • Events created in Fetch will sync directly to your selected Google Calendar
  • Calendar conflicts are respected based on the availability settings you choose
  • You can update or change your calendar selections at any time
  • Your Fetch calendar will house only events scheduled through Fetch and does not upload your Google calendar events to Fetch, keeping your work schedule clean and easy to read.

Think of your Fetch calendar as your work calendar where all of your sessions with your clients, workshops, and classes reside. Your Google calendar (or iCal if connected to Google) is where everything resides collectively such as your Fetch appointments, personal appointments, holidays, and family events.

Disconnect your Google Account

If you’d like to completely remove Fetch’s access to Google, use Disconnect Google Account from the Google Account panel.

This will:

  • Disconnect Google Calendar Sync
  • Disconnect Google Contacts Sync
  • Revoke Fetch’s access to your Google account

If you reconnect later, you’ll simply grant Google permission again for the features you’d like to use
