Connect Google Contacts and Fetch makes a Google contact for each of your clients and keeps it current. Their number, email, address and their animals are then on your phone and wherever else Google Contacts lives, so you can call, text or get directions from the field.
Connect
- Click your avatar, choose Settings, then Connected Accounts. Only a professional has this page.
- On the Google Contacts card, click Sign in with Google. If Google is already connected for your calendar, the button reads Grant Google Permission instead.
- On Google’s screen leave the contacts box ticked and click Allow.
Fetch makes a contact group in your Google Contacts called Fetch Clients and puts every contact it creates in it.
What is written
Name, one phone number, one email, one address, and the animals with their breeds in the contact’s notes, like “Luna (Pit Bull), Fluffy (Australian Shepherd)”. A blank in Fetch never clears a field in Google. Only the professionals assigned to a client get that client in their Google Contacts.
When
Fetch writes to Google when a client is created or edited, and when one of their animals is added, renamed or removed. Clients you already had before connecting are not sent all at once. Each one appears in Google the next time it is edited.
What Fetch never does
- It never deletes a Google contact, not even when the client is deleted in Fetch.
- It never clears a field it has no value for.
- It never touches contacts it did not create.
If you delete the Fetch Clients group, Fetch makes it again at the next sync. Notes you add to a contact in Google stay, unless you put them in the field Fetch writes the animals to.
Pause or disconnect
- Turn Off Contact Sync, at the bottom of the card, stops the writing but keeps Google connected. Grant Google Permission turns it back on.
- Disconnect Google Account, in the Google Account panel above the cards, removes Fetch from your Google account altogether, calendar and contacts both.
An Owner or Admin can also switch contact sync off for a team member under their Permissions, in the Integrations section.

Connecting does not send them all at once. Open a client and save them, or wait until their next edit, and they appear. The same goes for their animals.
No. Fetch only creates contacts of its own and updates those. Everything else in Google Contacts is left alone.
Yes. They are ordinary Google contacts, so any phone that syncs with your Google account shows them, iPhone included.
Fetch writes one phone, one email and one address, the ones on the client’s profile. Keep extra numbers in a different field or in the notes.
