With Zoom connected, a session held on Zoom gets its own meeting the moment you save it. The client receives the join link and password by email, and sees a Join button in their portal. Move the session and the meeting moves with it.
Zoom is connected per professional, not per account. Each professional connects their own Zoom.
Connect Zoom
- Click your avatar, choose Settings, then Connected Accounts.
- On the Zoom card, click Connect Zoom.
- Sign in to Zoom and approve Fetch.
You land back in Fetch with “Zoom is connected.” The card now shows the email of the Zoom account with a green check.
Connected Accounts is only shown to professionals. An Owner or Admin who is not a professional does not have it.
Use Zoom for a session
When you add or edit a session, the location list has a Zoom option once the professional on it has Zoom connected. Pick it and save. Fetch creates the meeting in the background. If more than one professional on the session has Zoom, a Zoom Account picker asks whose account hosts it.
The same goes for a scheduler or a session type set to Zoom: a client who books online gets a meeting made for them before their confirmation goes out.
Change the time or the host and Fetch updates or recreates the meeting. Cancel the session and the meeting is deleted.
What the client gets
The confirmation email carries the join link, the meeting id and the password. Reminder emails carry the link too. In the client portal the session shows a Join Meeting button.
If you use Google Calendar sync, the join link is also written into the calendar event.
New meetings are made with a waiting room, with the client muted on entry, and without join before host.
Disconnect Zoom
On the same card, open Disconnect Zoom and click the button. Fetch forgets your Zoom login and stops creating meetings. Meetings already made keep their links. A session you set to Zoom after disconnecting shows an error until you connect again or change its location.
Removing Fetch from inside your Zoom account does more: Zoom tells Fetch, and Fetch clears the Zoom details from your sessions and sets them to in person.
What Fetch stores
For your Zoom account: the sign-in tokens Zoom gives Fetch, your Zoom email and user id, and when you connected. For each meeting: its id, join link, host link, password and status. Tokens and host links are hidden from everyday queries and are removed when you disconnect.
FAQs
Only a professional has it. Connected Accounts and Availability belong to the person who runs sessions. An Owner or Admin who is also a professional sees it; one who is not does not.
