Nick began his career with an unlikely first job: professional golf. After college, he competed professionally, before turning his attention to another longtime interest – building businesses and technology.
In 2009, Nick co-founded AO Studios, a digital agency and software consultancy serving organizations ranging from startups to established brands. He later wrote the monthly Digital Business column for PGA Magazine for eight years and hosted The Big Golf Show, interviewing business leaders and some of the biggest names in golf.
In 2014, he launched HIBR, a direct-to-consumer sleep brand that began on Kickstarter, raised angel investment, and grew to serve athletes across the MLB, NFL, PGA Tour, and CrossFit.
After selling his agency in 2019, Nick returned his focus to software development and began working alongside his wife, Sara, to solve many of the challenges she saw working with dog trainers and behavior professionals. Those early conversations eventually became Fetch.
Today, Nick leads Fetch’s product and technology development, combining more than 20 years of experience in software, design, marketing, and entrepreneurship with a simple philosophy: listen carefully, understand the problem, and build something that genuinely makes people’s work easier.
Outside of Fetch, Nick has served as Board Chairman of the American Pit Bull Foundation, overseeing Operation Sidekick, a program that trains rescued pit bulls as service dogs for veterans with PTSD. He also volunteers with NC Wildlife Rehab efforts, helping care for injured and orphaned wildlife until they can be returned to the wild.
