Sara is a Certified Canine Behavior Consultant and licensed wildlife rehabilitator whose career has focused on improving the lives of animals and the people who care for them through education, behavior consulting, and animal welfare.

Her work has taken many forms, from helping families navigate complex canine behavior challenges to educating schools, businesses, and community organizations about responsible dog ownership, compassionate care, and appropriate interactions with service dogs. She has also worked extensively with animal welfare organizations, veterinary professionals, and other industry leaders to develop practical solutions that improve outcomes for both people and animals.

Sara created Operation Sidekick, a program that pairs rescued pit bull-type dogs with veterans living with PTSD and trains them as service dogs. The program brought together two causes especially important to her: changing misconceptions surrounding pit bull-type dogs and helping veterans regain independence and quality of life.

Her commitment to animals extends well beyond dogs. Sara holds both a wildlife rehabilitation license and a rabies vector species rehabilitation license, allowing her to rehabilitate a wide variety of injured, orphaned, and displaced wildlife with the goal of returning them to the wild.

Throughout her career, Sara has been an advocate for education, collaboration, and finding thoughtful solutions to complicated problems. Her experience working directly with trainers, behavior professionals, pet owners, veterinary teams, and animal welfare organizations provides much of the real-world perspective behind Fetch.

Today, Sara helps guide Fetch’s product direction and customer experience, ensuring that what we build reflects how animal professionals actually work – not simply how software developers think they work.
